
Odisha will host the three-day 'Matsya Prani Samavesh Odisha 2026' from January 21 at Janata Maidan, inaugurated by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi and concluding with Governor Hari Babu Kambhampati. The event expects over 8,000 farmers, scientists, and experts, featuring technical sessions, seminars, live animal displays, and 208 stalls showcasing farming technologies. Activities include a pet fashion show, marathon, debate, virtual reality farm tour, and drone show. The state produces 11.72 lakh metric tonnes of fish annually and aims for self-reliance through government schemes and entrepreneurship promotion.
