Schools Closed and Roads Shut in Pune on January 19 for Cycling Race Prologue

Pune authorities have announced the closure of schools and colleges in several central city areas on January 19 due to the prologue of the Pune Grand Tour 2026 international cycling race. The 8-km individual time trial will run from Goodluck Chowk on Fergusson College Road to the Deccan Bus Stop on Jungli Maharaj Road. Roads including Fergusson College Road, Jungli Maharaj Road, University Road, and connecting routes will be closed from 9 am to 6 pm, with traffic diversions and no-parking enforcement in place to ensure event safety and smooth conduct.
