
Nagaland's Minister for Forest, Environment and Climate Change, C.L. John, called for stronger collective action against gender-based violence and unequal opportunities during the state-level International Women's Day celebration in Kohima. Highlighting the vital role of Naga women in society and progress in women's leadership, he emphasized that gender-based violence remains a major barrier to equality. The event, organized by multiple state agencies, also recognized pioneer leader Rano M Shaiza's contributions and urged creating an environment of confidence and dignity for all girls in Nagaland.
