Two Men Detained for Wearing 'Sheikh' Attire at Har Ki Pauri in Haridwar

Two men, Naveen Kumar and Prince, were detained in Haridwar for roaming at Har Ki Pauri dressed in 'sheikh' attire, claiming to film for their YouTube channel. After apologizing for hurting religious sentiments, they were released. The incident sparked calls from the Ganga Sabha and priest community to declare Ganga ghats in the Kumbh Mela area as non-Hindu restricted zones, a proposal under consideration by the Uttarakhand government.
