
A massive garbage avalanche at the Binaliw Landfill in Cebu City, Philippines, has resulted in at least six confirmed deaths and left 32 others missing. The collapse, estimated to be 20 stories high, occurred on Thursday, trapping approximately 50 sanitation workers. Rescue efforts are ongoing but are significantly hampered by unstable debris, fallen metal structures, and the constant risk of further collapses, posing a danger to responders.
