The Shri Sai Baba Sansthan in Shirdi is managing an LPG shortage caused by geopolitical tensions in West Asia by rationing gas and adjusting kitchen operations. The temple's solar-powered cooking system, installed in 2009, saves about 200 kg of LPG daily by using steam for cooking. To extend LPG supplies, the Prasadalaya has temporarily reduced its menu, serving fewer vegetable dishes and replacing separate dal and rice with khichdi. Officials report sufficient LPG stock for the next 15 days to continue feeding around 45,000 to 50,000 devotees daily.
