Panic gripped a village in Uttar Pradesh's Budaun district after nearly 200 residents received anti-rabies vaccinations as a precaution. The fear stemmed from a funeral meal prepared with milk from a buffalo that later died from suspected rabies, reportedly after being bitten by a stray dog. However, medical experts state that rabies is not transmitted through milk or milk-based products, with transmission primarily occurring through the saliva of infected animals via bites or scratches.
