Rise in Stray Dog Attacks Reported Across Multiple Indian Cities

Several Indian cities are experiencing a rise in stray dog attacks, with thousands of cases reported recently. Indore recorded over 4,100 dog bites in February alone, including minors and women, while Pune reported more than 78,000 cases over three years, showing a steady increase. Phagwara has also seen over 240 cases in two months, including a fatal attack on a child. Residents express concern over inadequate municipal action despite sterilization efforts and guidelines to manage stray dog populations.
