A rare 233-year-old Sanskrit manuscript of Valmiki's Ramayana, dating to 1792 CE and featuring classical commentary by Maheshvara Tirtha, has been gifted to the Ram Katha Museum in Ayodhya. Previously loaned to Rashtrapati Bhavan, the manuscript includes five principal sections of the epic and reflects its narrative and philosophical depth. The handover, led by Central Sanskrit University's Vice Chancellor to the Prime Ministers Museum's Executive Council Chairman, aims to enhance the museum's role as a global centre for Ramayana heritage and public access.
