Noida Schools Closed for Classes Nursery to 8 on January 16-17 Due to Cold Wave

Schools in Noida and Greater Noida's Gautam Buddh Nagar district will remain closed for students from Nursery to Class 8 on January 16 and 17 due to dense fog and extreme cold wave conditions. This decision, directed by the district magistrate and issued by Basic Education Officer Rahul Panwar, follows an earlier extension of winter vacations till January 15. While students will not attend physical classes, teaching and non-teaching staff are required to report as usual. Authorities have warned of strict action against schools violating the closure order. Similar closures and adjusted schedules are reported in other northern regions due to cold weather and events like Magh Mela.
