Seven Class X students at a Maharashtra Social Welfare Department-run hostel in Igatpuri, Nashik, have been booked under the POCSO Act for allegedly sexually abusing younger hostel mates over six to seven months. The victims, reportedly from Classes V to VII, accused the older students of administering sedatives before the abuse. The hostel superintendent was also booked for failing to report the incidents. The hostel has been closed, and authorities have initiated independent inquiries, with the accused students sent to a remand home.
