
A survey by Delhi-based NGO Chintan of 1,257 children aged 6 to 15 across Delhi-NCR during December 2025 and January 2026 found that air pollution significantly affects their physical and mental health. About 44% visited doctors for respiratory and related issues, while nearly 70% reported stress linked to poor air quality. The study also noted social withdrawal, anxiety, and low confidence in government efforts, with girls reporting higher mental stress than boys.
