Sonu Sood and Son Gift Mechanical Elephant to Chennai Temple Supporting Animal Welfare

Actor Sonu Sood and his son Ayaan gifted a life-size mechanical elephant named Airavatham to Sri Sakthi Vinayagar Temple in Chennai. Created in partnership with PETA India and People for Cattle in India, the 3-meter-tall, 500 kg fibreglass elephant features realistic movements and water spraying. This supports the temple's choice to avoid using real elephants in ceremonies, promoting animal welfare. Airavatham is the 21st mechanical elephant introduced by PETA across India and the second in Tamil Nadu.
