Several Students Fall Ill During Filariasis Medicine Drive in Patna School

On February 25, several students at a primary school in Ganpat Rai Tola, Patna district, fell ill after receiving Albendazole during Bihar's Mass Drug Administration campaign to eliminate lymphatic filariasis. Symptoms like dizziness and anxiety prompted immediate medical response, with affected children treated at Athmalgola Community Health Centre. Officials confirmed all children are now safe, attributing the reactions to mild side effects of the medicine, which is being administered statewide without serious issues.
