A man in Badaun, Uttar Pradesh, climbed a 30-foot water tank, demanding a second wife and threatening to jump if his demand was not met. He claimed his first wife had left him and he wanted someone to wash his clothes. Police intervened after 30 minutes and safely rescued him. His family later stated he suffers from mental illness and is undergoing treatment.
