BIS Organizes Quality Walk in Vijayawada to Promote Consumer Safety on World Consumer Rights Day

To mark World Consumer Rights Day 2026, the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) organized a 'Quality Walk' in Vijayawada, involving students, police, and BIS officials. BIS Director Prem Sajani Patnala emphasized the importance of using ISI-marked helmets for road safety, highlighting their quality testing. Vijayawada Traffic Deputy Commissioner Shareen Begum urged two-wheeler riders to follow traffic rules and use certified helmets to prevent accidents. The event aimed to raise consumer awareness about product quality and safety standards.
