Singapore has opened a new facility, Karma Kaariya Nilaiyam, at Changi Beach for post-death rituals for the Hindu community. The one-storey building with four private halls, managed by the Hindu Endowments Board, allows families to book spaces online for a fee to perform seaside rituals on the 13th or 16th day after cremation. This sheltered facility aims to provide a calm, dignified, and private environment, addressing previous challenges of performing rituals outdoors in adverse weather conditions.
