The Himachal Pradesh State Government Pensioners' Association honored 14 pensioners, aged 75 and above, in Nurpur. The association, with 2,000 members, advocates for pensioners' issues and holds monthly meetings. President SL Gupta urged the Chief Minister to form a Joint Consultative Committee (JCC) and expressed dissatisfaction over delayed financial benefits for post-2016 retirees. General Secretary Jaswant Dhiman noted a previous protest and a planned January 18 meeting to strategize for fulfilling demands.
