
The 53rd New Delhi World Book Fair concluded with a 20% increase in footfall, attracting over 2 million visitors through its first-ever free entry policy. Organised by the National Book Trust under the Ministry of Education, the nine-day event featured more than 1,000 publishers from 35 countries, 600 events, and 1,000 speakers. Publishers reported a 30% rise in book sales, with strong engagement from families, students, and first-time visitors. Highlights included the Indian Military History Pavilion and international participation from Qatar and Spain.
