
In Kerala, a kidney from 17-year-old Ayona Monson, who died after a fall in Kannur, was transported on a commercial IndiGo flight to Thiruvananthapuram for transplantation, marking the state's first use of a commercial airline for organ transport. Coordinated by the Kerala State Organ and Tissue Transplant Organisation, the kidney will be transplanted to a 27-year-old woman. Other organs, including the second kidney, liver, and corneas, were allocated to patients in Kozhikode and Thalassery.
