A leopard entered a sweet shop in Daman's Nani Daman area, prompting a nearly 8-10 hour rescue operation by forest and police officials. The animal was found on the third-floor staircase and remained aggressive, injuring one forest staff member who is now stable. A rapid response team from Dahanu, Maharashtra, was called in to assist. The leopard was tranquilised, secured in a trap cage, and relocated to an undisclosed location. It had been sighted in urban areas over the previous two days.
