Manipur BJP MLA Yumnam Khemchand Singh has achieved a significant milestone by becoming the first Indian to receive a 5th Dan black belt in traditional taekwondo. He was awarded the certificate in Seoul by the Global Traditional Taekwondo Federation (GTTF). Singh, a former minister, has a long history with the martial art, having practiced it since age 16 and played a key role in its promotion across India, including founding associations and popularizing it as a sport.
