The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced major reforms for the Pakistan Super League (PSL) starting from its 11th season in 2026, replacing the traditional player draft system with a player auction model similar to the IPL. The franchise purse has increased from USD 1.3 million to USD 1.6 million. Teams can retain up to four players, limited to one per category, down from eight previously. Mentors, brand ambassadors, and the right-to-match option have been removed. New teams Hyderabad and Sialkot can pre-select four players, and franchises may directly sign one foreign player not featured in PSL 10. The changes aim to enhance competitive balance, transparency, and player earnings. PSL 11 will begin on March 26, with Faisalabad added as a venue.
