
Haryana's School Education Department has designated 22 government schools as Centres of Excellence in Sports to promote athletics and provide students with advanced training opportunities. These schools will focus on various disciplines including hockey, judo, badminton, boxing, wrestling, volleyball, football, kabaddi, swimming, and weightlifting. The initiative, aligned with NEP 2020, aims to foster sportsmanship and includes plans for constructing multipurpose sports halls to support training and competitions.
