Uttar Pradesh Partners with AVW Global to Revive International Motorcycle Racing

The Uttar Pradesh government has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with AVW Global, a motorsport consultancy founded by former MotoGP rider Karel Abraham, to revive international motorcycle racing in India. The partnership aims to develop a world-class racing ecosystem at the Buddh International Circuit in Greater Noida, targeting events like MotoGP and the Asia Road Racing Championship. Officials highlight potential benefits including youth development, tourism growth, and job creation, with races possibly starting by mid-2026, pending approvals.
