At the fifth Indian Open Throws competition in Patiala, Shivam Lohakare won the men's javelin gold with an 81.08m throw, becoming the first Indian to cross 80m this season. Anand Singh secured silver with 76.94m, while Asian Games medallist Kishore Jena returned from injury to claim bronze at 74.75m. In the under-18 discus, Nishchay Phogat set a personal best of 63.90m, narrowly missing the national record. Other age-group events saw multiple athletes achieving personal and national records.
