The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has instructed the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) to release Bangladeshi fast bowler Mustafizur Rahman from their Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 squad. KKR is permitted to sign a replacement from the unsold players pool, specifically a bowler. Despite his release, Mustafizur Rahman is expected to receive his full auction fee of Rs 9.20 crore as per IPL regulations.
