Chennai Super Kings (CSK) has agreed to stop using songs from Rajinikanth movies like Jailer and Coolie in its promotional content following a 1 crore copyright infringement lawsuit filed by Sun TV Network, owner of the Sun Pictures subsidiary holding exclusive rights. CSK filed an affidavit in Madras High Court stating it will seek licenses from agencies such as Phonographic Performance Limited and requested that Sun TV not interfere in the licensing process. Sun TV claims CSK gained economic advantage from unauthorized use.
