
Indian distance runner Gulveer Singh set a new national men's half marathon record by finishing third at the New York City Half Marathon with a time of 59 minutes 42 seconds. He trailed South Africa's Adriaan Wildschutt and Moroccan-born American Zouhair Talbi. Singh, who holds multiple national records and won gold at the 2025 Asian Athletics Championships, aims for podium finishes at the Glasgow Commonwealth Games and Asian Games later this year. He is currently based in Colorado Springs, USA.
