Chelsea Football Club has been fined £10.75 million (approximately $14.3 million) by the Premier League for breaching financial rules related to undisclosed third-party payments between 2011 and 2018. The club voluntarily reported these potential breaches during the 2022 takeover by Todd Boehly's consortium. Alongside the fine, Chelsea received an immediate nine-month ban on registering academy players and a suspended one-year transfer ban for first-team players, ratified by an independent commission. The Premier League found no breach of Profitability and Sustainability Rules even if payments had been declared.
