The 38th Jarkhar Sports Festival, dubbed the 'rural mini Olympics,' is set to begin on February 13 in Ludhiana's Jarkhar village. This three-day event aims to promote sportsmanship and eradicate social evils like drugs, violence, and gender bias. It will feature international-level hockey, football, and kabaddi matches, alongside participation from school-level athletes. Organizers are also focusing on increasing female participation and promoting the region as a hub for athletes.
