
An experienced pilot, Mohan Singh, died after a tandem paraglider malfunctioned shortly after takeoff at Himachal Pradesh's Bir Billing site. The pilot and an accompanying tourist were injured when the paraglider crashed near the launch site. While the tourist is out of danger, the pilot succumbed to his injuries en route to the hospital. Authorities have suspended paragliding activities and are investigating the cause, examining technical faults, human error, or weather.
