The stadium failed to meet evacuation safety norms, leading the BCCI to issue an ultimatum for the Rajasthan Cricket Association (RCA) to resolve its governance crisis and conduct elections. The RCA has been run by ad-hoc committees for two years, violating BCCI guidelines. This move also follows past controversies, including allegations of match-fixing, which the franchise denied.
