The BCCI is considering adopting international technology like the Decision Review System (DRS) for domestic cricket matches. While DRS is currently used sparingly, a wider implementation faces significant cost challenges, with Hawk-Eye systems potentially costing hundreds of crores annually. However, Indian Institute of Technology students are developing a cheaper alternative. The BCCI also approved a six-month extension for Tech Mahindra's contract managing its digital platforms.
