Pune Grand Tour 2026: International Cycling Race to Boost Rural Economy and Tourism

The Pune Grand Tour, India's first UCI 2.2-level international cycling race, will take place from January 19 to 23, covering 437 km across Pune, Pimpri-Chinchwad, and nine rural tehsils. Featuring 171 cyclists from 35 countries, the event aims to boost rural economies, tourism, and agriculture by improving road infrastructure and connectivity. Organizers highlight the race's role in promoting Pune globally and serving as a qualifier for the 2028 Olympics, with cultural showcases planned along the route.
