Sri Lanka Cricket has appointed legendary fast bowler Lasith Malinga as a consultant fast bowling coach for the national men's team. This short-term role, effective from December 15 to January 25, 2026, aims to leverage Malinga's expertise, particularly in death bowling, to support preparations for the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2026, which Sri Lanka will co-host with India. Malinga, a T20 World Cup winner in 2014, brings extensive experience from his playing career and previous coaching roles in franchise leagues.
