This action follows an inquiry into Kramnik for allegedly harassing players with unsubstantiated cheating claims, particularly after the death of Grandmaster Daniel Naroditsky. Kramnik stated he was forced to pursue legal action due to relentless attacks from players and FIDE, whose CEO called his allegations "appalling." Kramnik maintains his claims are not baseless, while others, including Grandmaster David Navara, reported distress over his accusations.
