Illingworth and Wharf Named On-Field Umpires for India-New Zealand T20 World Cup Final

The ICC has appointed England's Richard Illingworth and Alex Wharf as on-field umpires for the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2026 final between India and New Zealand at Ahmedabad's Narendra Modi Stadium on March 8. Illingworth will officiate his second consecutive T20 World Cup final, having also stood in the 2023 World Cup and 2025 Champions Trophy finals. Wharf will umpire his first senior ICC World Cup final. South Africa's Allahuddien Paleker is the third umpire, with Adrian Holdstock as fourth umpire and Andy Pycroft as match referee. The officials previously worked together in New Zealand's semi-final win over South Africa.
