The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) is preparing to launch the inaugural Women's Bangladesh Premier League (WBPL) from April 4 to 14, welcoming international players without country-specific restrictions. Rubaba Dowla, chairperson of the WBPL Governing Council, confirmed that Indian women cricketers like Smriti Mandhana and Harmanpreet Kaur, who face no BCCI restrictions on overseas leagues, are eligible to participate. The tournament will feature three teams and use a draft system requiring at least two overseas players per team, with recruitment ongoing.
