The All India Football Federation (AIFF) responded to criticism over a kit issue affecting the Indian women's football team at the AFC Women's Asian Cup in Australia. Jerseys initially sent were sized for age-group teams and did not fit most senior players, prompting the team to source replacements locally. AIFF deputy secretary general M Satyanarayan stated that replacement kits were procured from an Italian supplier within seven hours of the problem being reported. The federation has launched a formal inquiry into the incident, with a retired CBI officer conducting the investigation.
