Gabon's government has suspended the national football team and dissolved the coaching staff following a winless performance at the Africa Cup of Nations. Captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and defender Bruno Ecuele Manga have also been excluded from the squad. The team finished last in their group, failing to advance. President Brice Oligui Nguema had previously criticized the team's performance and lack of patriotism. Aubameyang, who missed the final match due to injury, suggested team problems run deeper than individuals.
