Inaugural Khelo India Tribal Games Scheduled in Chhattisgarh from March 26 to April 6

The inaugural Khelo India Tribal Games will be held from March 26 to April 6, 2026, across Raipur, Jagdalpur, and Surguja in Chhattisgarh. Featuring seven medal sports—athletics, football, hockey, weightlifting, archery, swimming, and wrestling—and two demonstration sports, Mallakhamb and Kabaddi, the event aims to identify and support tribal athletes nationwide. Jointly managed by the Sports Ministry, Sports Authority of India, Indian Olympic Association, and local committees, the Games align with the government’s vision to promote sports and tribal talent development.
