The Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) governing council has moved the remainder of the 2025-26 tournament matches from Chattogram to Sylhet. This decision was made due to a two-day postponement caused by the death of former Prime Minister Khaleda Zia and logistical challenges in shifting broadcast equipment. Sylhet will host matches until January 12, followed by Dhaka, with playoffs and the final scheduled for January 23. The council cited fixture gaps and the need for the Bangladesh team to prepare for the T20 World Cup as key considerations.
