MS Dhoni Fined Rs 1,000 for Overspeeding in Ranchi Ahead of IPL 2026

Former India captain MS Dhoni was fined Rs 1,000 for overspeeding near his Ranchi residence after an automated traffic system recorded the violation under Section 183 of the Motor Vehicles Act. The minor offence occurred days before IPL 2026 preparations, where Dhoni has resumed training with Chennai Super Kings. Alongside this, Dhoni faces a separate legal notice from the Jharkhand State Housing Board over alleged misuse of a residential plot. CSK aims to improve after finishing last in the 2025 IPL season.
