Ruturaj Gaikwad has achieved a new record in List A cricket, surpassing Virat Kohli for the highest batting average by an Indian batsman in this format (minimum 50 innings). Gaikwad reached this milestone during his 66-run innings against Mumbai in the Vijay Hazare Trophy. He is also expected to retain his place in India's ODI squad for the upcoming series against New Zealand.
