Yastika Bhatia Replaces Injured Jess Jonassen in Brisbane Heat WBBL Squad
Jess Jonassen has been ruled out of the entire upcoming Women's Big Bash League (WBBL) season due to a persistent hip injury, with medical advice recommending rest. Brisbane Heat announced that India wicketkeeper-batter Yastika Bhatia will replace Jonassen, joining the squad before their second game. Bhatia, who previously played for Melbourne Stars, will be the only Indian player in this WBBL season. Brisbane Heat head coach Mark Sorell expressed confidence in Bhatia's experience and ability to strengthen the team despite Jonassen's absence.
