
The ICC has announced the eight nominees for the T20 World Cup 2026 Player of the Tournament, featuring India’s Sanju Samson as the sole Indian representative. Samson, who entered the tournament late, impressed with consecutive match-winning innings, scoring 232 runs at a 201.73 strike rate in four matches. Other nominees include England’s all-rounder Will Jacks, Pakistan’s Sahibzada Farhan, South Africa’s Lungi Ngidi and Aiden Markram, New Zealand’s Rachin Ravindra and Tim Seifert, and USA’s Shadley van Schalkwyk. The finalists India and New Zealand will face off in the final at Narendra Modi Stadium.
