
Former Indian cricket captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni has been named goodwill ambassador for the Bajaj Pune Grand Tour 2026, India's first international multi-stage professional road cycling race. Scheduled from January 19 to 23, the five-day event covers a 437-km route across the Deccan Plateau and Sahyadri Range, featuring 171 riders from 29 teams across 35 countries. Dhoni highlighted the race as a new chapter for professional cycling in India and encouraged the Indian teams, led by Naveen John, to perform well on home ground.
