Mumbai has inaugurated its first government-run sports rehabilitation centre at KEM Hospital, named the BKT Sports Injury and Rehabilitation Centre. This facility, also the first of its kind in western India, aims to provide affordable, world-class sports injury treatment and surgery. It is a joint initiative by the BMC and the BKT Foundation, intended to bridge the gap in accessible sports therapy for athletes and citizens, with plans to connect with sports organizations for wider awareness.
