Cricket West Indies (CWI) has contacted Nicholas Pooran to consider reversing his retirement for the 2026 T20 World Cup, but he currently prefers to remain retired. CWI Director Miles Bascombe confirmed efforts to secure top players, noting Pooran was aware of the World Cup when retiring. The board also explored involving former players Dwayne Bravo, Kieron Pollard, and Andre Russell in the team's management, but scheduling conflicts with the IPL and other commitments pose challenges.
